Gus and I grew up together in Aberdeen and played sports from little league to high school. We went to Rollins together and he left after the first semester. His brother Jim played Aberdeen high school sports together, also.
We were best friends growing up and I will cherish the times we had together. My condolences to Jim and his family.

I knew Gus as my teacher, a co-worker, boss and friend. He was a kind, gentle man with a big heart. He will be sorely missed in the insurance business and in life. My condolences to Eileen, Lori, David and families. Sorry we couldn’t make the service. Pat and Nard Cossaboon
So sorry to hear about the death of one of the most respected and dignified people I had the pleasure of knowing. So many wonderful memories of my insurance agent and good friend. Eileen and Gus made such a fabulous couple. They were always caring and giving to all the people they knew. It was a distinct pleasure to be able to call Gus a great friend. Best wishes to Gus's family and especially to Eileen, a lovely wife to Gus and an even better human being and one of my lifelong friends.

I have had the pleasure of playing a lot of golf and enjoyed duck hunting with "Big Gus". He was a true gentleman, sportsman and friend. We would all get a laugh when Gus would walk into Frank`s shop pull out his wallet, throw it on the couch and say "took em again". Rest in peace partner.
I had "Mr. Gosweiler" my senior year at BHS (1971) for history seminar. The experience was memorable and I loved the class - he was my favorite teacher and a good role model for all of us. . Such a patient, caring man who taught us a lot. I went off to Pfeiffer college to teach history just like him. Rest in peace Gus
