Sarah App Porter's Obituary
Sarah nee App Porter 84 of Stow Creek Twp. passed away at her residence Wednesday morning November 17, 2010, surrounded by her family.
Born in Hopewell Twp. she was the daughter of the late Dr. Frank App Sr. and Helen nee Minch App, and the wife of the late Frank L. Porter. Sarah was the executive director of Family Planning Services of Cumberland and Gloucester Counties for 25 years. She was also very active in the Cumberland County Health Administration. She was an avid horticulturalist and wildlife enthusiast. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her five children Frank A. Porter, R. Bruce Porter, Polly Porter, Hilary Rosso, Sarah E. Porter, one brother Dr. Alva App, her five grandchildren Jessica and Colleen Bell, Elizabeth A. Porter, Caitlin P. Porter, and Bobby Porter. Besides her parents and husband Frank, she was predeceased by two sisters Dr. Jean Lorant, and Dr. Helen Whelan, and one brother Frank App Jr.
