Bobby and I were childhood friends while living in Montana Mines! We both attended a two room school and as friends played together often. In years passed when I would visit NJ I'd call him and we would get together and do lunch or breakfast always a good time. .. Bobby and his wife were always so pleasant to be with, and he will be greatly missed. Condolences to his many friends the family! Sending our love & Prayers for all.
Remembering his smile, his joy, and always a gentleman. If my memory serves me, "Sweet Potato" - Robert rode our bus to school. He never knew a stranger...
I fondly remember Robert as Sweet Potato when he was at EFHS. He had the nicest, kindest personality. We were talking about him at a class Reunion on Tuesday. I am so sad to hear of his passing. Praying for comfort for his family and may he rest in eternal peace. Doris Kabulski Garcia, Fairmont, WV EFHS class of '65
Sweet potato as he was called in high school was well liked by all. I never really never him as Robert. He was like a loving teddy bear. My class of 1965 just had a reunion and he was the topic of conversation among the athletes who were there. He came into my dads place which was called Mazzas and ate hot dogs everyday. Several years back he brought some of his family to eat. Just a kind and gentle giant was Sweet Potato. God bless you and rest in peace. Hugs and prayers for the family. Love from Linda Shelosky and Lary Mazza and the Class of 1965
I remember Mr. Murphy ,always had a smile, met him when he worked for the Late Monroe Wesley. With my uncle Leroy Webster.
My sincere condolence to the Murphy Family
