Rev Michael B. Schuelke's Obituary
On August 18, 2022, at age 67, Reverend Michael B. Schuelke entered into glory, setting perfected eyes on his Savior’s face and that of his precious granddaughter, Poppy Joy. He had planned to retire on September 11th from nearly thirty years of ministry at Fairfield Presbyterian Church in Fairton, NJ, where he blessed and was loved by so many, together with his wife Susie, whom he loved dearly.
Prior to that, he had a varied career as Associate Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Muncie, IN, after receiving his Masters of Divinity from Covenant Theology Seminary in St. Louis, MO; a milkman at Turner’s Dairy; a construction worker; and a teacher at Trinity Christian School in Pittsburgh, PA, after completing his Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he also developed his love of pole vaulting.
Mike was a blessing to his family and is survived by: his wife Susan Jean Schuelke; his mother Patricia Denne Schuelke, brothers Robert E. Schuelke and Thomas Schuelke, sister Patricia Schuelke-Scott; his son Gregory B. Schuelke, daughter and son-in-law Lauren & Jared Reed; many nieces and nephews, siblings-in-law, and other extended and church family.
He ran his race of this life, a good and faithful servant, sustained daily by the grace of God, and is at last victorious and at rest with his Creator.
His life will be celebrated with the faithful community at Fairfield Presbyterian Church - 53 Main Street, Fairton NJ, 08320 - on Sunday, September 4th, with visitation 2-4pm, service to follow at 4pm
