Lily Planter Green's Obituary
Lily Planter Green, aged 54 years of Fairfield Twp. passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday evening in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of Rev. Rudolph and Ruby Mae (nee Jones) Planter and had been an area resident for all of her life.
Lily grew up and attended schools in Fairfield Twp. and was a 1980 graduate of Cumberland Regional High School. She was employed as a Residential Supervisor with the Twin Oaks Group facility in Hammonton. She was a member of The Church of God in Bridgeton where she enjoyed singing. Lilly loved traveling and going on cruises, but she especially loved being a Mother and Grandmother to her children.
She is survived by her parents Rev Rudolph and Ruby Mae Planter Sr.; her two daughters, Ashley Thomas of Atco, NJ, and Jada Green of Bridgeton; her siblings, Jackie Roberts of Atlanta GA, Samuel Johnson of Smyrna GA, Linda Peterson of Fairburn, GA, Rudolph Planter Jr. of Vineland, and Brian Planter of Chicago, IL.; her grandchildren, Jalyon Thomas and TJ Cuff.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday May 9, 2015 at 11:00a.m. from the Church of God 81 Pamphylia Ave. Bridgeton, NJ. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00a.m. prior to the services at the church. The interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp.
