Rachel Pennington Davis
Our sympathy to Jane's sons and families. Jane was a gem! She came to Cumberland
County to be the Home Agent for USDA and I was her secretary as well as secretary to to Mr. Kenneth Pickett.
She was much loved by the women whose classes she led in caning, canning, and
making dry mixes. Today we go to the grocery store for that very thing, however
at the time it was very inventive and all new ...
She willingly shouldered the responsibility of making a United Nations Flag, with whtie
background with skyblue continents and an enormous project working with
patterns and fabric and volunteers.
Jane played a cello in an instrumental group in Wilmington, Delaware and
thoroughly enjoyed that contact as well.
Much loved, much admired and lovingly remembered by us,
Our sympathy to her sister, as well, she spoke fondly of her,
Sincerely, Harold and Rachel Pennington Davis
