To the Family of the late Cordelia Lane, we wish you the deepest condolences on the transition of your mother. May God continue to bless and comfort your family in these trying times. "Cordie"was a wonderful person, mother and friend and was loved by everyone that knew her. She will now share that love with late husband, Tommy as well as others in the glories of our life "Beyond".

I recall the good"ole" days when we were in our dear "Ole BHS", your mom's house was our dance hall, Cordelia taught me how to dance.

My mother, Emily Bacon, worked with Mrs. Lane in the Superintendent’s office where they became good friends and shared many good times, including shopping trips, dinners and many discussions covering family, faith, and numerous other topics. May your sweet mother Rest In Peace.

As a preteen, I remember Mrs. Lane being such a gracious hostess. Every time I was invited to "The Lane Compound", I was literally embraced as though I was one of her own children. (I was given an age appropriate chore, along with everyone else.)

Their home was the only place where I was allowed to do a Saturday night sleepover, as my mother knew I would certainly be well fed, well groomed and still arrive on time for Sunday School. I cannot remember what was served for those Sunday morning breakfasts at the Lane's, but I will forever remember kneeling in prayer around their table before enjoying even one morsel.

It was her quiet (drop the mic) childrearing advice, for which I will be the most grateful. She would pat my hand and in a nonchalant tone say "Kimmie, if I could raise my six kids, you'll do just fine raising your one son!"

My sincere condolences to the Lane Family on the loss of your mother. How clearly I remember greeting Mrs Lane during her visits with her son Frank and other family members at McKendree Simms Brookland UMC in DC. Her love for the Lord and family shown as a great light and joy within her. I will keep you all in my prayers knowing you are surrounded by God our Comforter.

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Lane whom I have respected since little league. I have nothing but very fond memories of my wonderful experiences with Mr. and Mrs. Lane and their family since my days in little league where I had the great fortune of playing ball under the guidance of Mr. Mason, Mr. Lane, Mr. Williams and Mr. Watson. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lane were outstanding citizens and contributed much to the betterment of the Bridgeton area, the Hospital, the School System and many other organizations. Their loss is felt deeply. I wish their families the very best and am sorry for this recent loss.

I will always remember Mrs. Lane as being a beautiful and gracious lady. I fondly remember the years when she and her husband sang in the Trinity Chorale. May you, the family, find comfort in knowing you had your mother, as well as your father, for a very long time. They are now reunited in our Heavenly Father's Home in Glory. My deepest sympathy goes out to you all.
