Christine Pat Ridgway's Obituary
Christine "Pat" Ridgway, 70 of Fairton, died early Monday morning January 14, 2008 in South Jersey Extended Care, Bridgeton, where she had been a patient for three days. She had been in declining health for the last two weeks.
Born in Fairfield Twp., she was the daughter of the late Julia Pierce Clarke and Jerry Gould, and the wife of the late David M. Ridgway Sr., who passed away in January of 1999. Christine was a Bridgeton area resident all of her life. She was formerly employed with MC Schrank, Siebel and Stern, Price Brothers, Moore Bus Service, and Bridgeton Hospital as a security guard. She recently retired in 2003 as a Bus Driver with the Bridgeton Board of Education . She served on the Advisory Committee for the Fairfield Township Senior Center. Some of her hobbies included shopping especially WalMart, traveling, dining out, going to the Atlantic City Casinos , shopping at yard sales, and going to WaWa for her coffee. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grand and great grandchildren , her family and friends. Surviving her are three sons David M. Ridgway Jr. and his wife Maria of Fairfield Twp., Allan L. Ridgway Sr. and his wife Pamela of Lawrence Twp., Gary Ridgway Sr. and his wife Bonnie of Hopewell Twp., and one daughter Valerie Ridgway-Carter of Hopewell Twp., one sister Julia Elizabeth Durham of Millville, and one aunt Mabel Ridgway of Bridgeton, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and a special friend Samuel J. Cuzzilla. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son Michael A. Ridgway, and her brother Warren Gould.
