I grew up spending much time having sleepovers at Amelia's home. She was like a 2nd mother to me. She considered me family. I even got a butt whooping when she caught us girls smoking in the chicken coop. Lol Those were the days! All joking aside....I had called Amelia three weeks ago and we reminisced with stories for nearly an hour. There were many! I told her that I had some homemade pierogis which I wanted to bring her for lunch, then we made plans which sadly would have been this weekend. I am glad for our time on the phone and that I got to tell her she has always had a special place in my heart. Prayers to the entire family for God's comfort during this very sad time. She was a special lady. May God rest her soul.
