John R. "Rat" Green 49, of Fairfield Twp. died suddenly Tuesday September 2, 2008 at his residence, one day from his 50th birthday. His death was unexpected. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of Margaret nee Hughes Kuff and the late Alexander C. Green Sr. He had been a resident of the Fairfield area all of his life. Rat was formerly employed as a Fork Lift and Equipment Technician with the Austinos Lift Company in Vineland. He loved rebuilding and tinkering with old tractors, cars, and motorcycles. His hobbies included attending car shows, barbequing, camping, eating crabs, and he especially enjoyed doing artwork with his airbrush. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, and having a good time with his dog "Jack the Jack Russell". Surviving him besides his mother, is his long time loving companion Janice Copper of Fairfield Twp., three brothers Charles "Buzz Green and his wife Karen of Fairfield Twp., Robert "Bucky" Green of Bridgeton, Oliver "Boo Boo" Green of Bridgeton, two step brothers Kenneth C. Kuff Sr. and his wife Maria, and Kevin B. Kuff and his wife Susan all of Bridgeton, three sisters Juanita "Sister" Figueroa and her husband Juan of Bridgeton, Carnelia "Kat" Pierce and her husband Bruce of Fairfield Twp., and Maria "Putt" Green of Fairfield Twp., his maternal grandmother Mary Hughes of Fairfield Twp., and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his step father Calvin V. Kuff, and two brothers Joseph Green and Alexander "Deanie" Green
