Willis Fleetwood's Obituary
Willis Fleetwood 89, of Stow Creek Twp. passed away February 6, 2013 in South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Care, Bridgeton.
Born at home in Quinton Twp. on June 11, 1923, he was the son of the late Walter and Bertha Bateman Fleetwood, and the grandson of the late Willis Bateman and Emily Ballinger, grandson of the late Nehemiah (aka Maurice) Fleetwood and Lena Paul, great grandson of the late Alexander Fleetwood and Sara Redding.
Mr. Fleetwood grew up and worked on the family farm in Quinton and Alloway Twp., near Cohansey, Salem County. Since 1938, he has lived in Stow Creek near Roadstown, where he operated his own farm.
He is survived by cousins Miss Frances Bateman of Cedarville and Elmer, Donald Fleetwood of Millville, Robert Adams and Larry Fleetwood of Somers Point, Dorothy Glass and Dolores Doyles of Ocean Pines, Maryland, Alta Davies of North Carolina, Elaine Irene Diehl of Millville, Bruce Gorsuch of Lynnwood, Washington, Edward Fleetwood Jr. of Upper Deerfield Twp. and good friend Joseph “Chub” Davis of Upper Deerfield Twp.
At Mr. Fleetwood’s request there will be no service. Cremation and inurnment took place in Camden County Crematory, Waterford Twp. Arrangements were under the direction of the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
