William Clement Still's Obituary
William Clement Still, aged 90 years, of Bridgeton passed away early Thursday morning in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland with his family by his side.
Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Rushmore and Hazel (nee Wells) Still, and the husband of the late Rebecca Mae Still.
Mr. Still was a lifelong resident and was employed until his retirement with the Bridgeton Board of Education as a custodian. He also worked for many years when he was younger for the former Garrisons Hatchery in Bridgeton. He was a member of the Samuel J. Roberts #979 Elks Lodge and a Council 21 member. He enjoyed going to the casinos and horse racing.
Survivors include his children, Anna Mary Butler, Wanda Saltmarch, Kimberly Still, Joseph Wesley Still, and Brian Keith Wilkinson, one brother, Leon Donald “Muskrat” Still, his sister, Yvonne Still, his companion, Alice Steward, and a host of grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and various relatives.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sons, William Clement Still Jr., Clayton Still, and Rodger Still, his brothers, Rushmore Still Jr., Clayton Still, Joseph Still, Manuel Still, Eddie Still, and two sisters, Doretha Watson, and Shirley Still.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. The interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services.
