William E. Pierce's Obituary
William E. Pierce, 81 of Hopewell Twp. and formerly of Estell Manor, passed away early Saturday morning August 25, 2012 in Cumberland Manor.
Born in Bridgeton September 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Jonathon and Elizabeth (nee Sammons) Pierce, and the husband of Joan (nee Catling) Pierce.
William was a foreman and truck driver for many years for the Imbesi family Thoroughbred Horse Farm in Estell Manor. He loved his job on the farm, and drove many horses back and forth from New Jersey to Florida over the years. He and his wife both worked on the farm and oversaw the general management. He had worked on the farm from 1965 until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed hunting and shooting when he was younger, but he mostly enjoyed time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife Joan, his two sons Alan Pierce and his wife Tina of Fairton, Andy Pierce and his wife Chandra of Colorado, his half sister Sadie Carney of Hopewell Twp., his four grandchildren Michael, Timothy , Jeremy and Lexa Pierce, and his two great grandchildren Shane and Daegan Pierce.
He was predeceased besides his parents by two brothers Raymond and Jonathon Pierce, and his sister Alberta Lloyd.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp. The interment will follow the services. The Rev. Jamie Bagley will officiate. There will be no public viewing.
