William S. Pierce's Obituary
Remember our scripture Ecclesiastes 3:1-12 teaches us..... "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant , and a time to pluck up that which is planted"
A time to be born...... William S. Pierce, known as "Willie" was born on June 1, 1955 to the late James Harold Pierce and Dorothy Mae Miller Pierce.
A time to die....... On Monday morning November 23, 2020 God in his infinite wisdom dispatched an angel to retrieve his child, William and took him home.
A time to grow...... William gave his life to Christ. He truly knew the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at a young age. William was involved with several churches before he joined The Implanted Word of God Ministries from the start up of the church to the present. Willie loved his church family. He served as an usher/greeter, sang with the choir, and was attending classes to become a Deacon. He would have finished, but due to the COVID 19 shutdown the process was delayed. Pastor Mark and Pastor Linda Pierce said, " He finished enough classes," they made him a Deacon of The Implanted Word of God Ministry Board.
William was educated in the Bridgeton School system. He worked as a Security Guard with various companies and locations, he also drove for the former Yellow Cab Company in Bridgeton.
A time for Love...... William met and married the love of his life Betty Jane (nee Holman) Pierce, who passed away in April of 2015.
Willie leaves to cherish his loving memory: one son Stefan Harmon, one step daughter Andrea (Shellie) Holman, and several grandchildren, Sadly missing his six sisters and three brothers, Jeanette Pierce, Nellie and her husband Oscar Pierce, all of Bridgeton, Sadie Pierce of Millville, Joy Carter of Vineland, Dorothy Scott of Pennsauken, Carol and Rick Fountain of Tennessee, James and his wife Patricia Pierce, Herbert and his wife Maybelle Pierce of Bridgeton, and Leroy and his wife Dale Pierce of Pittsgrove, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased besides his parents and wife, by three sisters Helen Taylor, Mable Scott, Elaine Pierce, and a brother Nathaniel Pierce. A memorial service celebrating Willie's life will be held privately for immediate family only.
