William G. Hawley's Obituary
William G. Hawley, 92, of Hopewell Twsp. died late Saturday evening in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland, where he had been a patient for the past four days.
Born in Frankfurt, Michigan the son of the late William and Bertha nee Bohnow Hawley, he was the husband of Dorothy nee Maul Hawley.
Mr. Hawley had lived as a child for seven years in Cape May, and had been a resident of Hopewell Twsp. for the past fifty five years. He was formerly employed with the A+P supermarket in Bridgeton as a butcher and Meat Dept. Manager for over forty years until his retirement in 1976. In his younger years he had enjoyed fishing. He and his wife attended West Park United Methodist Church in Hopewell Twsp. Mr. and Mrs. Hawley would have celebrated their 66 th wedding anniversary on February 27, 2006.
Surviving besides his wife, is one son William H. Hawley and his wife Jean of Bridgeton , two grandchildren Tracey L. Gerber and her husband David of Franklin Lakes, NJ and William C. Hawley of Brooklyn, NY, and two great grandchildren Matthew and Michael Gerber.
He was predeceased by two sisters Alice Hawley who passed in December and Mildred Hawley who died at the age of three, three brothers Richard, Harold, and Edward Hawley.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services from the SRAY ?WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp. on Saturday February 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. David Strope, pastor of West Park United Methodist Church will officiate. The interment will take place in the family plot in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
Friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
