William M. DuBois Jr.'s Obituary
Billy DuBois was born on August 4, 1958 in Danbury, CT, and passed away October 3, 2021 in Bridgeport, CT after a short illness.
Billy had a charmed life, he had to overcome many health issues related to Downs Syndrome, not just to survive but to thrive throughout his life. He loved to laugh and tell jokes! His constant happy attitude and outlook on life touched all those who knew him. He was a great fan of Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons, The Beach Boys, and Garth Brooks and knew all their songs. His favorite movie was Ghostbusters and would light up when talking about the film.
He loved to bowl and had many trophies for his bowling accomplishments. Billy participated in the Special Olympics and had medals in both swimming and diving. He loved to draw and his art has been published in calendars over the years. Billy will be greatly missed by his family and his Kennedy Center Family.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother William M. DuBois Sr. and Shirley E. DuBois, and a brother Lawrence A. DuBois. He is survived by his sisters, Polly Hargus of Richardson Texas, Peggy (Mike) Dunn of Ocean Park Washington, and Susan Marcinko of Sun City West , Arizona. He is also survived by nieces, Jamie Newcomb and Jill Hargus, nephews, Christopher Marcinko, Clifton Hargus and Joel Hargus and many cousins and great neices and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton where Bill will be laid to rest in the DuBois family plot on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 1:00pm.
