Vera A Mink's Obituary
Vera A Mink of Bridgeton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 17 , 2024 in Preferred Care formerly the Cumberland Manor. where she had been a resident for the past five years. She was 96 years old.
Born in Rosenhayn , she was the daughter of the late Leon R. Sr. and Viola (Anderson) Trusty, and the wife of the late Jerry Thomas Mink who passed away in 2018.
Vera was employed as a Registered Dental Hygienist working for the State of New Jersey. Vera graduated in 1951 from the Meharry Medical College , Division of Dental Hygiene in Nashville , Tennessee. She and her late husband lived on Baltimore Ave for many years and were faithful members of First Baptist Church in Bridgeton. Together they operated JV's Hair Salon on Laurel Street until Jerrry's health began to fail. She loved sharing Gods word and served in many capacities with her church.
She is survived by her son Steven Eric Mink and his wife Edna of Silver Springs , Maryland, one granddaughter Erica Mink Birdin and her great granddaughter Alisha Joy Mink Birdin, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Leon Trusty Jr. and Andrew David Trusty.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 11:30 am from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME. Vera's pastor Rev. Aleksander Saar of First Baptist Church will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am till service time. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Cedar Hill Memorial park, Hopewell Twp.
