Velma R. Wright's Obituary
Velma ?Tippy? R. Wright, 92, of Fairfield Township died Friday evening January 20, 2006 after an extended illness, at the home of her daughter, Anna Jane Lloyd.
Born in Fairfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert E. and Anna Durham Cuff , and the wife of the late Fenwick Wright .
Velma loved yard work and in earlier years she assisted her late husband with the cutting of several yards in the Bridgeton area. She also loved crocheting and gardening, and was often seen working in her own yard and flower beds. She also was a member of Trinity A.M.E. Church Gouldtown.
Survivors include her two children, Anna Jane Lloyd and her husband Wendell , of Fairfield Twsp. and Warren F. Wright and his wife Anna Mae of Fairfield Twsp. Three grandchildren Barry Lloyd Sr. and his wife Debra of Deptford, Lisa Lloyd - Washington and her husband Captain Shun Washington of Delaware, and Warren F. Wright Jr., of Bridgeton. Five great-grandchildren Barry Jr. and Joshua Lloyd, Ramon Dunns, and Patrice and Eric Clark. Five sisters, Agnes Durham of Matawan , Mary Alice Durham and her husband Melvin, Alberta E. Munson, Edith M. Dean and her husband Franklin, and Irene D. Webster, all of Fairfield Twsp., and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter in law Gloria Yvonne Wright, two sisters Ella Cuff and Imogene Cuff, and one brother Howard C. Cuff.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 12:00 p.m., from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp. The Rev. Barbara Hoffman, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bridgeton will officiate. The interment will take place in the family plot in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Twsp.
Family and friends may call on Thursday morning one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
