Timothy Doss' Obituary
Timothy Doss, 67, of Bridgeton, NJ passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. Tim and his late brother Thomas were twins born on December 15, 1958 to the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Doss and Mr. Criswell Harper.
Timothy graduated from Arthur P. Schalick High School in 1978. He was a proud product of Seabrook, Pittsgrove Township and Vineland Public Schools. In 1980 Tim enrolled at Glassboro State College, currently known as Rowan University. There, he was a member of Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternity Inc. (Spring81’). While in high school and college, Timothy was a standout, all-around, student athlete earning “All- State” honors as a Defensive Tackle.
Tim loved family, food, laughter, music, and dance. He was the ninth of ten children; five boys and five girls. Tim (AKA “Biscuit”) and Tom (AKA “Cornbread”) had an incredibly close, loving bond. When you saw one, you typically would see the other; both with infectious smiles, stylish attire, kind words and vast jokes. From both working at the Vineland Developmental Center, to shopping, to barbecuing, “The Twins” enthusiastically embraced life together, as a beautiful, invincible team and may both now rest in power.
To cherish his precious memory, he leaves a son Timothy Cotto, three grandchildren Trinity, Quasym, and Marocko Cotto, two sisters; Dorothy M. Hall (Charles, predeceased) Somerset, NJ and Ruthie Mack (Reverend John) Cedarville, NJ as well as two brothers, Vaughn Doss Bridgeton, NJ, and Kenneth Doss, (Loretta) Sicklerville, NJ and a Brother-in-Law, Lester Pegues amongst a host of additional cousins, nieces, nephews, and additional extended family and friends.
Timothy was predeceased by parents Mrs. Fannie Mae Doss and Mr. Criswell Harper, sisters Joyce Doss, Barbara Jean Pagues, Ruby Haqq, brothers Robert Doss Jr and Thomas Harper Doss, and a sister-in-law Olive Doss.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Friday, June 19, 2026. Services will be held at Heavensway Beth-Shaun Baptist Church, 1029 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360, Rev. John Wesley Mack, Sr., Pastor. The viewing will be from 10:00AM - 11:30AM with the funeral service immediately following.
