A TIME TO BE BORN...
Shirley Ann Wright was born in Tennille, Georgia on June 26, 1964. She was the middle daughter of the late Daniel Haynes and Rosa Murphy (Robert) of Fairfield Twp, New Jersey. Lovingly known as “Ann” by her family, she shared a special relationship with her sisters. She was raised in a home centered around family, caring, and spiritual growth. Attending church regularly with her parents, Shirley received a firm foundation in the Lord.
A TIME TO GROW...
At an early age, Shirley attended Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She graduated from Cumberland Regional High School in 1982. With her outgoing personality, she was affectionately loved by her classmates. After graduation, she worked as a Home Health Aide at Meridian Nursing Facility in Millville, NJ. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and this became a life long passion. Shirley then went on to work at Trump Casino in Atlantic City, NJ for many years as the Housekeeping Supervisor. Due to health reasons, Shirley retired from the workforce at an early age. She became a stay at home Mother caring for her family. Shirley was a loving Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Cousin and friend to all those who encountered her presence. She adored her children, grandchildren and niece. Family time was special to her and she loved to celebrate every holiday. Shirley was thankful for the small things while enjoying her life. She particularly found joy in making TikTok videos where the world could see her bright light. Shirley also loved watching the Food Network, trying new recipes.
A TIME TO LOVE...
On September 30, 1995, one of the best days of her life, Shirley married the love of her life Dennis Dean Wright. She never hesitated to declare her undying love for him and she definitely showed it. The loving couple adventurously lived life to the fullest. The two raised four beautiful children.
A TIME TO MOURN...
Shirley Ann Wright entered into her eternal rest on the afternoon of December 7, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves to cherish her memory her best friend and husband, Dennis; her unconditional loving children: Eric Haynes Sr. (Nakesha) of Bridgeton, NJ; Ciara Saunders (Michael) of Egg Harbor Twp., Brandon Haynes (Crystal) of Salem, NJ; De’Quan (Iman) of Vineland; nurturing mother, Rosa L. Murphy of Fairfield, NJ; one sister; Yolanda Crosley (Willie); brother-in-laws; Rossie Wright of Bridgeton and Gordon Brown of Millville, NJ.; nine grandchildren: Eric Jr., Zy’Erica, Zy’Kera, Ky’Juan, Zy’Nasia, Zy’Neya, Michael II, Braelynn, and De’Quri and two great grandchildren; Liam and Naim; three nieces Amber Frain of Lindenwald, Tika (Randy) Crosley of Richland, NJ, and Natasha Crosley of Bridgeton, NJ; one special Aunt; Mary W. Pickett and two special, loving cousins; Takisha Pickett (Gerald), Melinda Watts (William) and a host of cousins, and dear friends.
Shirley Ann Wright was predeceased by her father, Daniel Haynes of Fairfield Twp, NJ, stepfather, Robert Murphy of Fairfield Twp, NJ, special Uncle Franklin Pickett; her loving sisters Cynthia Brown of Millville, NJ and Tammy Haynes of Bridgeton, NJ.
