Sherry Loatman's Obituary
Sherry Corney Loatman passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. Sherry always maintained a positive attitude about life despite suffering many various ailments and illnesses. She is now free from that suffering.
Sherry was born October 2, 1951 in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Clifford and Florinda (Mosley) Corney. She graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1970 and remained a life long resident up until the past year, which she spent as a cherished member of the community at Genesis Healthcare in Millville, where she will be missed.
Sherry worked at several jobs including Prudential Insurance, Murbecks Dye, and Clement Pappas most recently, from which she retired. She loved going on vacations to the New England area, North Carolina Smokey Mountains , Virginia, Myrtle Beach, or even simple trips to the casino, dinner and playing cards with the family.
Sherry was married to the late Henry "Shorty" Loatman until his death in March 2014. She was also preceded in death by two sons, her youngest Drew Durham in February 2024, and Jason Corney in September 1975, sister Theressa Swift, December 2015, and a brother Carl Corney Sr. in January 2023.
Her memory is left to be cherished by her son Dustin Corney , grandchildren Hailie Corney, Rosalie Corney, and Sydney Lavine, one great grandchild Mia Sauro, brother Rinels Corney of Galloway, NJ, and a sister Marlene Lloyd of The Villages, Florida in addition to a host of additional nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 at 2PM at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home located on 62 Landis Ave, Bridgeton NJ 08302. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 1:30- 2:00 pm prior to the service, officiated by Mark Cripso Sr. There will be a private celebration of life for the immediate family after the service, at the home of Heather Ott.
