Sadie G. Seeney's Obituary
Sadie G. Seeney, aged 89 years, passed away suddenly late Tuesday evening August 12, 2014 in Inspira Medical Center, Elmer, where she had been a patient for one day.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late William and Sadie (nee Sammons) Carney, and the wife of the late Carl Carney, who passed in 1986. Sadie had been an area resident all of her life, and had lived in Hopewell Twp for the past 44 years.
Sadie was formerly employed as a presser with the former Siebel and Stern Clothing Manufacturing Company in Bridgeton for several years until her retirement on disability. She loved to read and accumulated quite a collection of books. She also loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Alberta “Tootsie” Carney, her three grandchildren, Mark Carney, Ed Carney, and Diedrea Davis, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased besides her husband Carl, by two brothers, Jack Carney and Walt Carney, two sisters, Mary Mosley and Nellie Morgan, her step sister, Alberta Lloyd, three step brothers, Raymond Pierce, Johnnie Pierce, and William Pierce.
Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
