Ruth A. Garrison's Obituary
Ruth A. Garrison 82, of Upper Deerfield Twsp. died early Tuesday morning August 1, 2006 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland. She had been in failing health for the past six months. Born in Philadelphia PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Blanche Cardwell Walker, and the wife of David Garrison.
Mrs. Garrison was a former telephone operator with the Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Woodruff Methodist Church, where she sang with the choir. She was a former 4H member and she enjoyed gardening with her husband and canning the vegetables they grew.
Surviving her besides her husband of 55 years are two children Thomas J. Garrison, of Upper Deerfield Twsp., and Wendy G. Nichols and her husband Bruce E. of Upper Deerfield Twsp., two grandchildren Barbara E. Garrison and Jaime Nichols.
She was predeceased by two sisters Joan Jones and Elsie Larasy, and three brothers Robert, Harry and Richard Walker.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday August 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 62 Landis Ave. at Carrl?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp.. Mrs. Garrison?s pastor the Rev. Jeanette Block will officiate. The interment will take place in Woodruff Methodist Church Cemetery, Woodruff.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services.
