Russell Ford's Obituary
Russell Ford, 60 of Fairton passed away Sunday evening July 26, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bridgeton, Russell was the son of the late Edward and Isabel nee Pierce Ford and the long time companion of Hazel Queen. He had been a long time resident of the Fairton area. Russell was employed for 25 years as a groundskeeper with the Cohanzick Country Club in Fairton. He had continued to work up until two months ago when his health started to fail. He had also previously worked for Major Clothing Co. in Bridgeton for many years. Russell loved to Deer Hunt and go fishing in the Delaware Bay. He also enjoyed golfing and was an avid NASCAR fan, but he especially loved being a grand pop and spending time with all of his family and taking long rides with Hazel. He is survived besides his companion Hazel by his children Eric C. Nardelli and his wife Delores of Shiloh, Russell Ford of Fairton, Vicky Holmes and her husband Steve of Cedarville, Jesica Frasier and her husband Mike of Tennessee, Debbie Queen of Millville, Delbert Queen Jr. of Millville, and Emily Brandriff and her husband Lewis of Newport, four brothers Edward Ford of Bridgeton, William Ford of West Virginia, Calvin Ford of Bridgeton, Franklin Ford of Bridgeton, and Gary Lloyd of Williamstown, and one sister Jean Heath of Virginia, 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased besides his parents by his sister Betty Collins.
