Roseila Thompson's Obituary
Roseila Thompson, 88, of Bridgeton passed away early Tuesday morning May 25, 2021 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland where she had been a patient for one day. She had been in declining health for the past two months. Born in Fairfield Twp. on August 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Martha (Pierce) Thompson and the wife of the late Carl Durham. She had been an area resident all of her life.
Roseila or Rose as she was called was self employed as a Day Care Provider, a business she ran from her home for many years. She loved taking care of and watching children. She also enjoyed knitting and camping with her family. She is survived by her children, Priscilla Moore, Carl M. Durham Jr., Darlene Jimenez, Lewis M. Durham Sr., Brent Durham, Clem Durham, and Bruce Pierce, four sisters, Flora Fisher, Mary Rice, Linda Loatman, and Irene Hoover, one brother, Charles Thompson, brother in law Lewis R. Durham, twenty two grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and various relatives. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Mellisa Rose Diduch Thompson, a sister Alice Fisher, and brother Jeremiah Thompson.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 12:00pm from the Cornerstone Community Church, 911 Church St. Millville, NJ. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:oo – 8:00pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner Upper Deerfield Twp., and again on Wednesday morning one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp.
