Rodney Pierce's Obituary
Rodney Pierce, 55, of Vineland, NJ passed Saturday June 21, 2025 at home with family along his side after battling a period of declining health. Rodney was born September 18, 1969 to the late Shirley J. (Saunders) and Alvin W. Pierce Sr. in Bridgeton, NJ and would go on to become a lifelong resident of the area.
Rodney worked for several years in construction for Gassis Brothers Construction in Atlantic City, NJ before failing health forced him to retire at a young age. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and antique cars and hot rods; he was in the process of restoring his prized Chevrolet Camaro. He loved cooking and smoking BBQ for family and friends, his signature dish was a spicy hot spaghetti. He didn’t allow his failing health to deter him from enjoying time with family, he loved to plan day trips and spend time with his longtime companion Milca Rodriguez and her granddaughter Joliana Perez, whom he loved as his own.
Rodney leaves his memory to be cherished by his older brother Alvin W. Pierce Jr. and his wife Tammy of Deerfield TWP., his longtime companion Milca Rodriguez, son Justin Pierce, nephew Alvin Pierce III, niece Alexis Pierce, and Joliana Perez amongst a host of additional family and friends.
Rodney was predeceased by his late parents Shirley J. and Alvin W. Pierce Sr.
UPDATE: Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday June 28, 2025 from 2:00 PM till 3:30 PM at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home located on 62 Landis Ave. Bridgeton, NJ 08302 to celebrate Rodney’s life.
