Robert A. Bailey's Obituary
Robert A. Bailey aged 65 years of Millville, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning at the home of his nephew and niece who were his caregivers. He had been in failing health for the past five years.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Boyd and Etta (nee Forman) Bailey. He had been an area resident all of his life growing up, and attending public schools in Bridgeton.
Robert had been employed as a baker with Terrigno’s Bakery in Bridgeton, since he was twelve years old, and worked there all of his life, until three years ago. He was a member of Trinity A.M.E. Church, Gouldtown, and he enjoyed watching his nephews compete in Mixed Martial Arts Matches. He also was a huge San Francisco 49ers football fan, but he mostly enjoyed just spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving him are his nephew and niece, who served as caregivers Robert and Tracy Elliot of Millville, his two brothers Thomas Bailey of Vineland, and David Bailey of Galloway Twp., his sister Elizabeth Gore of Vineland, and a host of nieces, nephews, and various relatives.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers Charles, William, Ralph, and Joseph Bailey Sr., and one sister Ella Mae Elliot.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday morning at 11:00a.m. from Trinity A.M.E. Church , Rt 49 Gouldtown, NJ . The interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. Friends may call on Friday morning at the church from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. prior to the services.
