Richard Lee Pierce Sr's Obituary
Richard Lee Pierce Sr., 68, of Millville passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA after battling a difficult period of declining health. Richard was born August 25, 1957 in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Rebecca (Gould) and Raymond E. Pierce. He was a local resident of the Cumberland County area throughout the entirety of his life.
He worked as a certified forklift operator for initially Rennoc, Santa’s Best and ultimately Homeland Vinyl in Millville for many years. Richard, his late father Raymond and his brothers all worked at Rode’s Catering in Swedesboro for some time also and were known for their passion of BBQ. Richard was an avid collector of model trains and any holiday themed trinkets that involved electricity and lighting. He was a proud member of the local Nanticoke Lenni- Lenape time and loved the outdoors, especially the upkeep and maintenance of his yard and all the tractors, lawnmowers, equipment used to keep it looking spotless. When he wasn’t laboring in the yard, he could be found watching his favorite TV show The Three Stooges, favorite NFL team Washington Redskins now known as the Commanders, or lounging with his inherited grand-dog Eddie. But mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends, specifically his children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Richard leaves his memories to be cherished by his loving children, Temika Pierce and husband Ronald J. Bunton, Richard Pierce Jr. and Amelia Cross, two sisters Rosemary Egbert (Chuck) and Rebecca Renee Pierce, brother Roy A. Pierce, his grandchildren Ariana Pierce, Gianna M. Moore-Pierce, Analise R.
