Ralph F. Workman's Obituary
Ralph F. Workman, 85 of Upper Deerfield Twp. died early Friday morning January 4, 2008 in the Rainbow Nursing Center. He had been in failing health for the past year.
Born in Linwood, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Jesse and Elsie nee Buckson Workman and the husband of Henrietta E. nee Cheeseman Workman. Mr. and Mrs. Workman were long time residents of the Upper Deerfield area. Ralph was retired from Woodruff Oil Co. now Woodruff Energy after forty years of service as an installer. He loved NASCAR Racing and was especially a fan of #24 Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed hunting when he was younger and loved to spend his vacations on Chincoteague Island. He was also a member of Woodruff United Methodist Church. Surviving him besides his wife Henrietta, is his brother Kenneth Workman and his wife Eunice of Vineland, and his half sister Jeanette Love of Vineland, three nieces Donna Haldeman, and Linda Hamrick both of Vineland and Marion Carll of Bridgeton, and several other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one brother Donald Workman and his sister in law Francis Workman. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday January 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Woodruff United Methodist Church, 4 East Finley Rd. Bridgeton. The Rev. Jeanette Block, pastor of Woodruff Church will officiate. The interment will be in the church cemetery. At the families request there will be no public viewing.
