Patricia Everston Lingo's Obituary
Patricia Everston Lingo, 73 of Hopewell Township passed away late Sunday evening in South Jersey Healthcare Bridgeton Inpatient Hospice Center, with her family by her side. She had been in failing health for the past seven years.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she was the daughter of the late Norman Sr. and Amy Louise nee Wong Everston and the wife of Felton Lingo Sr. Patricia had been an area resident since 1947 after moving here from Jamaica. She attended the Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart Schools as a child and was employed as a Special Education teacher with the Bridgeton Public School system for 27 years. Patricia attended Wesley AME Church in Rosenhayn. She enjoyed reading and was quite talented in cooking. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived besides her husband Felton, by her children Norman Sammons and his wife Tracy of Midland, GA, Linda Olivarez and her husband Gilbert of Austin, TX, Eric Sammons and his wife Tammi of Pheonix, AZ, Jonathon Sammons and his wife Caroline King of Glassboro NJ, Calvin Gibson Jr. of Austin TX., four stepchildren Felton Lingo Jr. of Berlin, NJ, Derrick Lingo of Hampton, VA, Dwayne Lingo and his wife Henrietta of Bridgeton, and Dedrea Lingo Boynee, of Hampton, VA, six sisters and two brothers, seven grandchildren three great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends.
