Orlando Sotomayor Jr's Obituary
Orlando Sotomayor Jr., 57 of Vineland, passed away on Tuesday night July 23, 2024 in Cooper University Hospital Camden due to his health.
Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on November 23, 1966 he was the son of Orlando Sotomayor and the late Romonita Garcia , and the husband of Taralynn (Cuff) Sotomayor.
Orlando lived in Utaudo Puerto Rico until the age of five when his family moved to Camden. He grew up in Vineland and attended Vineland public schools. He had several jobs working at Dunkin Donuts, J + L Poultry, Owens and Minor, Durand Glass and lastly McClain Industries until his retirement in 2020 due to his health. He loved watching Sunday, Monday and Thursday Football games with his brother and was an avid Los Angeles Rams fan. Orlando enjoyed watching “The View” and the “Nature Channel”. He was a member of King Memorial Church in Bridgeton.
Orlando is survived by his Beloved wife,Taralynn, of 28 years; his children: Brittany French, Orlando Sotomayor III, Aramis Sotomayor (Kabreia Redfern), his granddaughter, Leilani Sotomayor, his father and stepmother, Orlando and Patricia Sotomayor, his siblings, Leslyne Sotomayor, Grismilda (Dennis) Mojica, Aldis Sotomayor, Octavio Garcia, Mojica, Javier Sotomayor (Melinda), Alnulfo Fito (Kristina) Candelario, Peter (Kimberly) Candelria, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Rominito Garcia.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday July 29, 2024 at 12:00 noon from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 landis Ave at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing willl be held from 10:00 till 12:00 p m at the funeral home prior to services. Orlando’s pastor Rev. Nathan Dunn willl officiate. The burial will take place in the family plot in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp.
