Oleta Pierce's Obituary
Oleta Pierce 83, of Pittsgrove Twp, and formerly of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Thursday December 31, 2009 in Rainbow Nursing Center. She had been in failing health for the past two years.
Born in Upper Deerfield Twp. she was the daughter of the late Armstead T. and Carrie V. nee Cuff Pierce. She had been an area resident all of her life. Oleta was formerly employed as a seamstress, first with M.C. Schrank Co. and later with Val Mode Lingerie in Bridgeton for several years until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints of Vineland. She enjoyed sewing, canning fruits and vegetables, cooking, and baking. She loved walking in and visiting old cemeteries. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Oleta is survived by her son Kermit C. Pierce Jr. and his wife Andrea of Upper Deerfield Twp, two sisters Eleanor Ceaser, and Anna Braxton both of Upper Deerfield Twp., three grandchildren Edward T. Pierce Jr., Ruth Oleta Pierce Hess, and Rosemary Pierce Webster, four great grandchildren Marshall Dylan Webster, Reginald Kermit Webster, John Russell Hess Jr., and Chloe Jane Hess. She was predeceased besides her parents by her son Edward Thomas Pierce, two sisters Pauline Valentine, and Mary Coward, and two brothers Oscar Pierce, and Henry Pierce Sr.
