Noel W. Sink's Obituary
Noel W. Sink, aged 78 years of Upper Deerfield Twp., NJ passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning April 22, 2015 in Cumberland Manor.
Born in Lexington, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Frank and Phoebe (nee Evans) Sink, and the husband of Patricia (nee Poloff) Sink. Mr. and Mrs. Sink had been area residents since 1970 and had previously lived in Pennsylvania.
Noel grew up in Lexington and attended public schools there. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for several years in his father in laws business, Carmen Poloff Builders and Construction. In his retirement he also worked as a Ranger for both the Cohanzick and Running Deer Country Clubs. He was a huge baseball fan and in his younger years played on many teams. He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving in the Old Guard doing honors details and in 1961 he marched in the Inauguration of President John F. Kennedy. He enjoyed life and spending time with his family.
Surviving him besides his wife Patricia, are his two daughters, Leslie Sink Scotland and her husband Andrew, and Laura Burrett and her husband Yann all of Collingswood, NC; one brother, Gene Sink of Lexington, NC and a sister, Barbara Lanier of Houston Texas. He was predeceased besides his parents, by three brothers, Bill, Ralph, and Roy Sink, and sister, Lois Storzbach.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday April 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The Interment will be in Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Noel’s memory be made to Inspira Homecare and Hospice, 1138 East Chestnut Ave. #3B Vineland, NJ 08360.
