Morris R Goldsboro Jr's Obituary
Morris Roger Goldsboro Jr. was born on January 6, 1949, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, to Morris Roger Goldsboro Sr. and the late Gladys Goldsboro. He transitioned peacefully, surrounded by family, from this life to his eternal home on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey.
Morris was a proud graduate of Bridgeton High School in Bridgeton, New Jersey. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. During his service, he was stationed in Korea and held the rank of Sergeant.
Following his military service, Morris became a New Jersey State Trooper and later served part-time as a police officer for Fairfield Township. He was also a dedicated volunteer firefighter with the Gouldtown Fire Department for more than 30 years, where he was honored as Firefighter of the Year in 1999. He worked as a service technician at Woodruff Energy until his retirement in February 2014. After retiring, he returned to work at Bob Novick, where he had also worked in his younger years.
Morris enjoyed watching Bruce Lee movies, Kung Fu Theater, Westerns, and The Three Stooges. He loved spending time with his family and attending church. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle and attending monster truck shows.
Morris was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Goldsboro; his sister, Elizabeth Goldsboro-Thompson; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Street Sr. and Jerry Warner.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children: Bobby Goldsboro, Lisa Goldsboro, Shontee (Richard) Johnson, and Joshua (Stephanie) Goldsboro; five grandchildren: Branden Goldsborough, JeMeir Goldsborough, Amira Goldsboro, Mya Johnson, and Joshua Goldsboro Jr.; his father, Morris R. Goldsboro Sr.; his brother, Kenneth Goldsboro; and his sisters, Paula Warner, Betty Street, and Sharon Goldsboro along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are encouraged to attend funeral services which will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home located on 62 Landis Ave. Bridgeton, NJ 08302. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM with funeral services and internment following at the Cumberland County Veteran's Cemetery with a military honor guard ceremony.
