Mary Moore's Obituary
Mary L. Moore transitioned peacefully after a gradual decline in health on September 15, 2021, she was surrounded and supported by her family at the Inspira Medical Center Vineland. She was born on December 28, 1927 in Bridgeton, New Jersey to the late Francis Wallace and Howard Dunn. Mary was married to the late Leonard C. Moore, Sr. and together they raised three children (Cheryl, Leonard and Dale).
Mary was educated in the Bridgeton public system.
Mary’s work history includes working at Owens Illinois Glass in Bridgeton, NJ for 25 years, Vineland Developmental Center for 10 years, and the Menz-O-Matic Laundry in Bridgeton, NJ for 5 years.
Mary was a member of Union Baptist Temple under the leadership of Pastor Albert L. Morgan, Bridgeton, NJ.
Mary’s most enjoyable hobbies were spending time with family, reading books, word search puzzles, yard work and planting flowers, cooking, playing with her cats. Most of all, she loved being a mom. Wherever she worked she loved her job. She enjoyed the 23rd chapter of the book of Psalm and singing her favorite song “At the Cross”.
Mary leaves her love and memories to her daughter, Cheryl Fisher of Millville, NJ; son, Leonard C. Moore, Jr. of Bridgeton, NJ; granddaughter, Davenia Fisher of Sicklerville, NJ; grandson James Fisher, Jr. of Clementon NJ; four great grandchildren, Jodecin, Kathlyn, Alyssa , Dante; a special granddaughter, Rita Balaguer; and an adopted daughter, Mary Ann Townsend; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard C. Moore, Sr.; parents, Francis Wallace and Howard Dunn; son, Dale Moore; granddaughter, Misty Elaine Fisher; and brother, Joseph Dunn, Madison Dunn, and Howard Dunn.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday afternoon at 1:00pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing will be held from 11:30am till service time at 1:00pm. Burial will take place in the family lot at Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp.
