Mary Anna Loatman Ledden's Obituary
Mary Anna (Loatman) Ledden, long time resident of Greenwich Twp, passed away Monday evening August 7, 2023 in Jefferson Hospital in Washington Twp. She had been in declining health for the past two years. Mary was surrounded by her loved ones on the evening she passed and also in the weeks leading up to her passing. She was 68 years old.
Born in Bridgeton, Mary was the daughter of the late Sherman L. and Velma (Mosley) Loatman, and the wife of Harry Ledden. She was a long time member of the Bridgeton First Church of the Nazarene.
Mary was employed until her retirement with Inspira Health Network as a Social Worker, working in several school districts, and also in the former Bridgeton Hospital. Always eager to learn, she had earned her Masters Degree in Sociology. She gave so much of her life to her family and friends, and has left a lasting legacy. Mary was the most wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, Sister, Social Worker and Friend that anyone could ever wish for. She was an excellent cook and baker, just like her mother, and Mary enjoyed her side business of baking beautiful cakes for all occasions. The world was a better place with Mary in it and her family was grateful to have the opportunity of being with her as she transitioned into Heaven to meet Jesus and all her family and friends who entered before her.
She is survived to cherish her memory by her husband Harry, her three sons, Harry Ledden Jr. (Dee), Adam Ledden , and Andrew Ledden (Brittany), her grandchildren, Adrienne, Gabriel, Lucas, AJ, Aceson, Arius, Ava, Harry III, Bella, and Iffy; her sister-in-laws, Linda Vineyard, and Roberta Loatman, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, S. Gary Loatman and Edgar 'Sonny" Loatman.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday August 12, 2023 at 3:00 pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp. Mary’s pastor Rev. Kris Peaden, pastor of the Bridgeton Nazarene Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home, one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
