Marshall B. Peterson's Obituary
Marshall B. Peterson, 75 of Fairton, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon February 27, 2021 with his family by his side and under the care of Hospice. Marshall was born in Bridgeton and was the son of the late Steelman Sr. and Elizabeth Betz Peterson and was the husband of Rosalind Lockman Peterson.
Marshall was employed for 30 years with the former Ball Foster Glass Company in Millville as a Hot End Supervisor until their closing in 1999. After his retirement, he and his wife Rosalind enjoyed camping and working at the Tall Pines Campground. Marshall could be found as the campsites Train Engineer and Conductor. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, their two cats, and spending time with family. He was also a coin collector and he loved watching westerns on TV. He was a proud US Army Veteran, being honorably discharged in 1967.
Besides his wife Rosalind, he is survived by his daughter Laura Breen and her husband Alex, stepchildren Gina Berry and her husband Leamon, Joann Webb and her fiancée Robert Timmons, and John Webb and his wife Stacey, his brother Steelman “Bo” Peterson Jr., sisters Mary Mensing and Joan Peterson, and many nieces, nephews , grandchildren and great grands. He was predeceased besides his parents by two sisters Caroline Ridgeway and Rosemary Hargrove.
A public walk thru visitation will be held for family and friends on Friday morning March 5, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00am in the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp.. Private funeral services for family only will be conducted at 11:00am. Interment with military honors will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
