Marion Jones' Obituary
Marion Jones, of Cedarville passed Friday afternoon in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland after several years of declining health. Born October 21, 1944 in Danbury, Georgia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Nell (Anthony) Jones and had been a resident of Newport and later Cedarville since the age of 3.
Marion had worked for the former Owens Illinois Glass plant in Bridgeton for many years until their closing, he then worked in sales at the Sears Store in Vineland until his retirement. He was a member of Glory Tabernacle Church in Fairfield Twp., and he enjoyed family gatherings over a good meal. He enjoyed traveling when ever he had some free time, and he loved watching old westerns on the Classic TV Channel and keeping his mind sharp with crossword puzzles. His greatest love was spending quality time with his family. Marion is survived by his son Johnathon Bradwell , a sister Christine Hallman , and his brother Larry Jones , a special nephew caregiver Albert Jones Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased besides his parents by his siblings Dorothy Jones Sanders and John Fitzgerald Jones. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday June 8 at 11:00 am from Glory Tabernacle Church, 1018 Buckshutem Road Bridgeton, NJ . Marion’s pastor Bishop David Hadley will officiate. The interment will take place in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 a m till 11:00 at the church.
