Marianne Karol, 72, of Greenwich, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with declining health. Born on May 14, 1954, in Bridgeton, NJ, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy (Butler) and Michael Read Obituary
Marianne was the friendliest person I met when we were in Junior High School. She always had a terrific smile & a positive attitude about everything. We were very friendly then but lost touch in high school. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. She was a treasure to all who knew her. My sincere condolences to her family. I know she will be missed by all.

Aunt Marianne aka..M.A. always had a smile on her face that lit up any room. Her laughter filled rooms and she was just always a good time. I will remember our dinner dates & stopping by on Halloween with the Kids.

I met Maryanne several years ago, through a mutual friend. She had a contagious laugh and smile, I'll never forget.
She was always kind spoken, and never forget a name or face. She truly was one of a kind. Many great memories.
Who would of thought years later, I would marry into the family.

I was one of her clients when she worked for Famcare and she would meet with me until my daughter turned 2. She was a light in my dark world. I will always remember her sweet ways but she was also not afraid to to speak when she needed to. I will keep going in my msw program because the social work world needs more like her.
