Maria Baladad Loma's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Baladad Loma who departed from this world on September 5, 2023, surrounded by family. She was 93 years old.
Born in Butuan, Philippines. She was the daughter of Marcos Baladad & Vicenta Acosta. She was a loving wife to Paterno Loma, Sr, Sister of Segundina Hidalgo, Susanna Salazar, Ulrico Baladad, Claudio Baladad, Luciano Baladad, and Benigno Baladad
She grew up in Libertad, and later attended Far Eastern University and Xavier University where she excelled academically earning her master’s degree in education. She had a love for Reading, Gardening and Sewing.
Maria had a successful career in Education, where her intelligence, hard work, and kindness shone brightly. Her colleagues respected and admired her for her dedication and leadership. She achieved the position of Head Teacher at Bancasi Elementary School until her retirement. After Retirement she migrated to New Jersey in 2001 and volunteered at All Kids First pre-school in Vineland, New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her husband Paterno Loma, Sr. and sons Paterno “Boy” Loma Jr, Jaime Loma, and Henry “Itot” Loma (Felicita Inday), She is survived by her children Grace “Bebe” Litterer (Hurley), Emanuel “Maning” Loma (Lani) , Gemma “Emac” Mosley (Will), Jocelyn “Joy” Rabaya (Abraham Bong), Joselito “Lito” Loma (Dave) and grandchildren Glenn Garcillano (Chandelle), Kevin Loma, Keyanna Litterer, Shiela Rabaya, Hannah Loma, William Mosley, Jr, David Rabaya, Alyssa Mosley, Ella Loma, Kier Loma and Katherine Loma and countless others who lives she has touched.
Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. A celebration of Maria’s life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Sray Webster Funeral Home, 62 Landis Ave, Bridgeton, New Jersey. Maria will be laid to rest next to her husband at San Vincente Memorial Park, Bancasi, Butuan, Philippines.
