Manuel Cruz Irizarrys' Obituary
Manuel Cruz Irizarrys, aged 69 years of Bridgeton, passed away late Saturday evening in South Jersey Extended Care, after a long and extensive illness.
Born in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Manuel Cruz and Luzmaria Irizarrys Gonzales. He had been a long time resident of the Bridgeton area.
Manuel was a welder by trade and had worked for many years at General Cable in Bridgeton until his health failed. He enjoyed all types of hunting, especially deer hunting, and he also loved to fish. He loved his family and many friends.
He is survived by his children; Diana Cruz Soto and husband Geri of Florida, Manuel Cruz of Shiloh, Juan Anthony Cruz of Bridgeton, Daniel Cruz of Bridgeton; eight sisters, Elida Cruz, Maria Ester Cruz, Irma Gonzales, Antonia Guzman, Milagra Soto, Elizabeth Gonzales, Jeanette Gonzales, and Jennie Gonzales; his seven grandchildren, Whitney Singletary, Julian Soto, Ethan Cruz, Aiden Cruz, Nathan Cruz, Marielle Cruz, and leliani Cruz; and his one great grandchild, De’Sean Gracia, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended relatives.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1:30p.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 prior to the services. The interment will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.
