Major C. Brown's Obituary
Major C. Brown of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday afternoon October 13, 2020 in the VA Hospital, Wilmington. In May, he celebrated his 99th birthday.
Born May 5, 1921, he was the son of the late Issac and Anna Pitts Brown. Major grew up in Quinton Twp. on the family farm. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the second World War. He formerly worked at Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Salem. Major loved his family and friends and enjoyed get-together's with them. He is survived by his sister Mabel Taylor of Upper Deerfield Twp. and his caregiver and nephew, Leslie Pierce and his wife Jill, and his great-nephew, Isiah Pierce who also was his caregiver; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services on Wednesday October 21, 2020 at 11:15 am in Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 - 11:00am on Wednesday.
