Lucille L. Durham's Obituary
Lucille L. Durham of Fairfield Twp passed away unexpectedly Friday evening August 11, 2023, in Inspira Healthcare, Vineland. She had been in declining health for several months. She was 73 years old. Born in Bridgeton on October 4, 1949, Lucille was the daughter of the late Thomas Robert Loatman and Lucinda Mosley Loatman Ridgway, and the wife for 53 years of Lloyd “Junior” Durham Jr.
Lucille was a long-time member of the Fairton Christian Center and had a strong Christian faith. She was employed as an office clerk for 28 years at South Jersey Gas. In retirement, Lucille enjoyed reading her Kindle and watching cooking shows. She was also an excellent cook. Lucille attended car shows with Junior, showing their ‘55 Chevrolet Bel Air as members of the Wheels of Thunder Car Club. She had an infectious smile and never met a stranger. Lucille loved her family, adored her grandchildren, and cherished time spent with family and friends.
Lucille is survived by her husband Lloyd Durham Jr.; her son Brian Durham, wife Joleen, of Bucyrus, MO, grandson, Andrew; her son Dwayne Durham of San Diego, CA, granddaughter, Shaynya; stepfather Donald Ridgway of Fairton, and her brother and sister-in-law Roland and Darlene Williams of Hopewell Twp. Besides her mother and father, she was predeceased by her brother Luther Loatman.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday August 19, 2023, at 1:00pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. Co-worker and close family friend Rev. David Ennis will officiate. The interment will follow in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 till 1:00pm. The family would like a special thank you to her best friends Paula Streets, JoAnn Fortune, Nancy Fairman and Darlene Williams.
