Linda M. Loatman's Obituary
Linda M. (Thompson) Loatman, 84, of Bridgeton passed away suddenly on Thursday August 12, 2021 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Fairfield Twp. New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Martha (Pierce) Thompson, and the wife of 65 years to Jerry E. Loatman. She and her husband were lifelong residents of the area.
As a young girl she attended Gouldtown School and Bridgeton High School graduating with the class of 1955. Linda worked in various capacities throughout her life. She was a Seamstress, Office Manager, and City Clerk. Linda enjoyed getting things done. She was the family seamstress, artist, plumber, electrician, carpenter, and confidante. If you needed anything, she was there, always looking for a another project that needed to be done.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves to mourn her husband Jerry E. Loatman Sr., a daughter Valerie Anderson (Gilbert), her two sons Jerry Loatman Jr. (Melody), and Brian Loatman (Rebecca), her four grandchildren Jerry III, Jared Sr., Joshua (LeShanda) and Jillian Loatman, three great grandchildren Jared Loatman Jr., Jeremy Loatman, and Zoe Loatman, three sisters Flora Fisher, Mary Rice, Irene Hoover, and her brother Charles Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Roselia Thompson, Alice Thompson, a brother Jeremiah Thompson Sr., and granddaughter Gabrielle Loatman.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Sunday afternoon August 22, 2021 at 12:00pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. The interment will follow in the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. Friends may call on Sunday morning at the funeral home from 10:00am till 12:00pm
