Lillie Mae Smith's Obituary
Lillie Mae Smith, 91 formerly of Gaffney, South Carolina, died Monday morning November 12, 2007 at the home of her sister Mattie Reid in Bridgeton.
Born in Gaffney, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Viola nee Corry Smith, she had been a resident of Bridgeton for the past eight months. Lillie Mae was baptized in the Mount Table Church in Gaffney at an early age and she was a member and loved attending Bethel Church in South Carolina. She enjoyed babysitting and doing housework for several families in that area. Surviving her are two sisters Mattie Reid of Bridgeton and Lula Mae Littlejohn of Baltimore, MD, her special nephew Levi Garrett who was her caregiver, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters Leatha Knuckles, Louise Smith, Christine Garrett, and two brothers Henry Paul Smith and Alonzo Smith.
