Laverne J. Litzinger's Obituary
Laverne J. Litzinger, 73 of Elmer, died Saturday afternoon June 6, 2009 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland. She had been in failing health for a short time.
Born in Johnstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Catherine nee Bushwacker Litzinger. She had been a resident of the Elmer area since 1960. Laverne was formerly employed with the Owens Illinois plant in Bridgeton for 28 years until its closing and then continued her work in the glass industry working for Durand Glass in Millville for 18 years until her retirement eight years ago. She enjoyed Bowling, and her cats, but she especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and her brothers and sisters.. She will be deeply missed by all. Surviving her are her five brothers Robert J. Litzinger, David C. Litzinger and his wife Toni all of Fairton, Patrick J. Litzinger and his wife Sandy of Illinois, Larry W. Litzinger of Mays Landing and Michael P. Litzinger of Deepwater, her three sisters Shirley A. Riley and her husband Donald of Newfield, Carol Pierce of Mays Landing, and Cynthia M. Woody of Fairton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother William Litzinger and a sister Joan Fay Litzinger.
