Kenneth L. Loatman, Sr.'s Obituary
Kenneth L. “Buck” Loatman, Sr. aged 93 years, of Greenwich Twp., passed away early Sunday morning at his home under hospice care.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Oscar and Alice Mae (nee Pierce) Loatman, and the husband of Emily E. (nee Pearce) Loatman. Mr. and Mrs. Loatman were long time residents of the Greenwich area. Buck was formerly employed with Don Rogers Inc. for over 30 years as a heavy equipment operator, and had formerly worked for Shorty Slade Construction prior to. He also farmed for many years in Greenwich. He loved deer hunting, fishing, and trapping in his younger years; also, raising his garden and sitting on his back porch watching the Martins in his bird houses. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the old westerns on the Encore channel. Surviving him is his wife Emily Loatman; his three children, Deborah J. Pierce and her husband Joseph of Hopewell Twp., Kenneth L. Loatman Jr. of Quinton Twp., and Elaine Webster and her husband Mark of Upper Deerfield Twp.; five grandchildren, Erica Shrimp and her husband Jim, Allison Pierce, Gage Webster, Kaylin Webster and Eric Fizur and his wife Becky; his three great grandchildren, Joshua Shrimp, Joanna Shrimp, and Wyatt Fizur, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased besides his parents, by three brothers, Oscar Steve Loatman, Russell Loatman, Henry Loatman; and four sisters, Alice Loatman, Marion Davis, Lena Durham, and Sara Durham. In honor of Kenneth’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Cremation and inurnment of the cremated remains will take place in the Camden County Crematory, Waterford Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
