Katina M. Jones' Obituary
Katina M. Jones, aged 40 years of Vineland, passed away suddenly on Friday evening July 3, 2015 at her home. Her death even though she had been in declining health was unexpected.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of Albert Jones and the late Marie Johnson Jones. She had been an area resident all of her life.
Katina was a 1992 graduate of Bridgeton High School and was formerly employed with the Vineland Developmental Center until her health began to decline. She was a proud member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indian Tribe of Bridgeton and enjoyed attending Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Franklinville. She loved reading, crocheting and doing cosmetology. She mostly loved being a mother to her two sons.
She is survived by her father Albert Jones and stepmother Priscilla Jones of Fairfield Twp.; her two sons, D’Jiyon Jones of Vineland and Jalon Jones of Millville; her two brothers, Albert Jones Jr. and David Jones III; two sisters, Shawn McNair and Priscilla J. Jones; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Sanders and step grandfather, Rev. Nathaniel Sanders Sr.; paternal step grandmother, Doris Byrd; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, and her cat Tutty.
Besides her mother Marie, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Paul and Anna Johnson, her grandfather George Byrd, and great grandparents Nell and Thomas Jones.
At Katina’s request, funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family with burial in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp.
