Kathy D. Charleston's Obituary
Kathy Denise (Webster) Charleston went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She was born on December 20, 1953 to George Alfred Webster Sr. and his wife Almeda in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She was the wife of Ron Charleston and a resident of Vineland, New Jersey. She graduated from Bridgeton Senior High School in 1972.
In her younger years Kathy attended Trinity A.M.E. Sunday school, was a girl scout and belonged to 4H. She enjoyed reading, sewing, coloring, watching old movies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She had many jobs over the years: store clerk, bus driver, store manager, healthcare aid as well as a corrections officer for fourteen years.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 9 years, Ron Charleston, her children, Erik Jenkins of Bridgeton, daughter Karra Jenkins of Vineland, sister Karra (James) Green of Millville, mother Almeda Webster of Glassboro, grandchildren Kaitlyn Gromley, Erik Jenkins, Kareem Jenkins, Andre Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins, and Gianna Jenkins, nephews George Gould (Roxanne), Reginald Webster, Marshall Webster, James E. Green III, Isaac N. Green (Tabatha), and niece Tiffany Dairsow.
She was predeceased by her father George Alfred Webster Sr., her brother George Alfred Webster Jr., and her former husband, Wallace (Speedy) Jenkins who passed in 2004. A walk thru visitation will be held on Monday January 10, 2022 from 1:00pm till 2:00pm at the funeral home. Masks or facial covering required regardless of vaccination status. Private services will be held for family only.
