Julia E. Wible's Obituary
Julia E. “Jewy” Wible of Bridgeton passed away suddenly Monday morning September 6, 2021 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. She had been in declining health for some time; however her death was unexpected. Born in Jamaica Queens, New York on March 7, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Ernest June LaPollo and Frances Catherine LaPollo (Santaniello), and the wife of George D. Wible.
Jewy moved to the Bridgeton area in 1988, and had previously lived in Wiliamstown and Blackwood. Her love of all animals, (especially the Northeastern Wolf) led her to start her own business, “Daiquiris German Shepherds, and for the next 45 years she was a world known breeder of German Shepherds that were raised in her kennels. She also raised chickens and loved giving the eggs to anyone in need. Jewy also enjoyed rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals; she received so many calls from people who found squirrels, opossums, rabbits or any animal that needed her services taking them in and nursing back to health. She was known as a caring individual who would give you the clothing off her back. She also loved flowers.
Jewy had an absolutely cunning way of telling you a story in such great detail, that before it was over, you actually felt as if you were there yourself when the event happened. One of her greatest passions was going with her family for Chinese at the Peking Buffet Restaurant in Glassboro. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband George D. Wible, daughter Cheri Desmarais and her companion Jeffrey Durham, whom she loved like the son she never had, her siblings Frances “Bipple” Winkles, Deborah “Cookie” Bass, and Dominic “Duke” LaPollo, her loving grandchildren Devin Desmarais, Johnny Desmarais, and Jarad Hitchner, special nieces and nephews, Earnest Carr, Chris Winkles and Terra, Kiel Winkles, Vincent and Aaron Bass, Danielle Logan, and her two best friends that she spent so much time, Becky Krevies and Penny Chrissy. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister and brother, Denise Martus-Sanders, Joseph “Sonny” Martus, a niece Denise “Beanie” McGehee and Neil Hitchner who was also like a son to Jewy. A celebration of Julia’s life will be held on Saturday September 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp.
